Blood in the Water
Anne du Montaigne
Anne is non-descript. If you did not know she was the daughter of Leon you would never know such. Until she opens her mouth.
When Anne speaks, everyone stops to listen. This is not because it is a rarity, but because unlike most of her sisters, Anne speaks with authority and confidence.
Anne, now has a long thin ugly red scar on her left hand that refuses to heal, but when questioned about it she smiles and says its “A mark of the love I have for my sister, and my sisters for me.”
Anne no longer wears gloves in public, instead, she shows off her scar and pearly white hands with pride.
